I鈥檓 delighted to join the Board of Trustees.

Access to trusted, relevant information, and the ability to use it to make decisions in everyday life, has been a consistent thread throughout my career. In many of the markets I鈥檝e worked in, the challenge is not only reaching audiences, but ensuring that information is grounded in local realities and genuinely useful. As someone born in Nigeria and later naturalised as British, I鈥檝e experienced first-hand the importance of media that connects across cultures and contexts. That is what draws me to 蘑菇短视频 Media Action and its work with partners to strengthen trusted media and support communities.

Over the past 25 years, I鈥檝e worked across media and technology, much of that time focused on Africa and other fast-evolving markets. I currently lead Google Africa, where I work with governments, broadcasters and civil society on how digital infrastructure and AI can expand access to information in ways that are responsible, inclusive and practical.

Earlier in my career, I helped build and scale media platforms across multiple regions, including launching MTV Base in Africa and later working across Europe and Asia. At YouTube, I focused on emerging markets across EMEA, supporting the growth of local content ecosystems. I鈥檓 particularly interested in how evolving technologies can strengthen trusted information environments while remaining rooted in the needs of the communities they serve.
