Elizabeth Alker introduces highlights from the Proms, including music by Prokofiev, chamber performances from this year's Ryedale Festival and Baroque music from Fribourg.

Elizabeth Alker introduces a week of highlights from the 蘑菇短视频 Proms, including a performance by the 蘑菇短视频 Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Delyana Lazarova. Joined by acclaimed violinist Alena Baeva, they perform Korngold's Violin Concerto, inspired by the composer's Hollywood film scores, alongside Prokofiev's powerful 5th Symphony.

Elsewhere, there's a selection of chamber music from this year's Ryedale Festival, with works by Strauss, Schubert and Mendelssohn performed by an outstanding line-up of artists. The programme also includes highlights from the International Sacred Music Festival in Fribourg, Switzerland, featuring music by the 18th-century Venetian composer Baldassare Galuppi.
