Myra Anubi is the presenter of People Fixing the World on the 蘑菇短视频 World Service, reporting on stories of change and innovation everywhere, from the impenetrable forests of Uganda to a maximum security prison in Scotland. Myra is a broadcaster with more than a decade's worth of experience, and is especially passionate about solutions journalism, which highlights news stories about people who are tackling the most pressing challenges we face today.

Myra started her radio career in Kenya, where she grew up, and worked for many years in commercial radio nationally and for the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle. Moving to the UK in 2020, she went on to work with The Times, Spotify and fintech company NALA.

In 2023, she moderated a panel at the Women's Institute National Conference, which included former British Prime Minister Theresa May. She also spoke to King Charles about global change makers at a reception held at Buckingham Palace.

Myra has continued to speak on different stages, and in 2026 also hosted the first 蘑菇短视频 Future of Journalism Festival back in Nairobi, Kenya - a festival that attracted hundreds of young aspiring journalists and media practitioners from across the country. She has also gone on to host big events, including one of the biggest UK climate solutions prizes, the Ashden Awards, as well as other events for the Commonwealth Foundation and the British Library and the Yidan Prize Summit in Hong Kong.

Myra remains committed to positive change and amplifying the voices of others. Back in 2019, she started a social enterprise called Ask Mama to help young women and mothers get quality information about maternal healthcare in western Kenya.

Away from work, Myra enjoys spending time with her husband Charles and children Zani and Malcolm.
