But dentist Shav Pabary thinks provision is still in an 'existential crisis', and 'if we don't get this right it will be difficult to see NHS dentistry has a future'. Carlisle is one of 23 operating across the North East and North Cumbria, which have seen more than 41,000 patients since 2024 who didn't have a dentist.
