London-based Indie rock band 'The Last Dinner Party have won Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio 1's Sound Of 2024. The five-piece - who met while studying at different London universities - join the likes of Adele, PinkPantheress and Sam Smith as winners of the prize, which has a track record of predicting break-out chart success. Dressed like Victorian-era punk rockers, and armed with ragged, theatrical rock anthems, The Last Dinner Party have quickly become one of the UK's most talked-about new bands. They were told the news by former nominee Florence And The Machine, who praised their "fierce and ferocious" sound and "joyful" live shows. The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Mark Savage has been to speak to them.
