Since then his new-born has spent months in hospital but is home now and the family say they've adapted to her needs well. It has meant plans to renovate the family kitchen have gone on hold. But now, members of his running club have stepped in to make sure the renovation is completed in time for Christmas, giving up their time and resources to help a friend in his time of need.
