This weekend marks 30 years since The Beat first aired on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Local Radio. The show shares interviews and sessions with established and often big name artists while also promoting great local music from Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing. Artists from across the East Midlands and beyond have been championed on the music show since its inception; some have seen worldwide success such as Mahalia, Jake Bugg and Easy Life.
