Former GB athlete Jimmy Watkins on the creation of the 'Running Punks' community

Daniel Pascoe

Available for over a year

Imagine being a GB athlete - and then deciding running isn’t for you. Imagine then turning to music and touring the world - but deciding that you’ve made a mistake. Well, that’s what Jimmy Watkins has done. Jimmy isn’t your traditional kind of runner. He has a more “punk rock approach” to running. Along with his friend Rhodri, he realised that there must be more people like them out there – who don’t fit into the traditional running club scene but would benefit from what running offers the most. And so the Running Punks community was born! ĢƵ Radio Cornwall’s Daniel Pascoe caught up with Jimmy to find out more about the Punks
