In addition to using many outside orchestras, the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ had their own Regional Staff orchestras specialising in light music, based in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol and Belfast. Of these orchestras, the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's 'Pride and Joy' was the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Midland Light Orchestra, which could be heard 'on the air' several times a week and whose versatility knew no bounds.
