Dog expert: Lewis Hamilton should think twice about freezing his pooch’s sperm
5 Live In ShortAvailable for over a year
Beverley Cuddy, editor of the Dogs Today magazine, told 5 live Breakfast that the act of freezing a dog’s sperm for future generation is “quite common”, but mostly amongst international show dog owners. Beverley spoke to 5 live after Lewis Hamilton revealed that he’s had his dog’s sperm frozen. The formula 1 star said he has taken the measure in order to have Roscoe’s puppies in the future. Beverley had this to say: “Maybe he’s actually quite progressive, and he’s actually read up on this and realised that all the things he loves about this dog, maybe he could preserve, and then mate with another dog that’s actually less challenged” adding “but really, most people would say start again.” She added: “He loves that dog, he absolutely adores it and would do anything for it, but we would encourage him to think hard about the idea of reproducing.” This clip was taken from 5 live Breakfast on Sunday 13th November 2016.
