The Uighur Muslims living in Kazakhstan have managed to mix their Sunni Muslim faith with elements of their traditional culture, and Central Asian culture. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Persian’s Rustam Qobil is from neighbouring Uzbekistan. He joins some Uighur women as they make their annual New Year’s meal, and sees rituals from his own upbringing.
