A combination of local and European emissions mixed in with Saharan dust and a high pressure system has caused high levels of air pollution across parts of the UK. People with lung or heart disease have been urged to avoid strong exercise outside. The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ's Jenny Hill describes the misty conditions in Birmingham, Professor Paul Monks chair of the Air Quality Expert Group explains why the conditions have occurred, and how they are still a tenth of those experienced in China. Birmingham GP Will Merdock on how "not everybody will be equally affected" by the conditions.
