During the period Mandela was fighting against Apartheid in South Africa, there was a difference type of struggle that was taking place here in the UK. The UK struggles were highly influenced by the civil rights movement of America and so was Paul Stephenson in Bristol who explained to Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Gloucester’s Kevin Philemon why Mandela was not as popular during the period.
