Bishop Rosemarie Mallet marks the founding of the Mothers' Union by Mary Sumner 150 years ago. The programme begins in the village of Old Alresford in Hampshire where Mary first gathered a group of women together to talk about how they could support each other in raising their families. The Mothers' Union grew rapidly into a global women's movement which has around 4 million members in 80 countries today, supporting families and campaigning against social injustice and violence.
