The Phone In

Available for 28 days

John-Paul Davies with Wednesday's Phone In... Prime Minister Andy Burnham is chairing an emergency COBRA meeting today to discuss the UK's approach to extreme heat. And in Wales, a petition has been launched asking the Welsh Government to host a televised briefing on the climate and nature emergency. According to the Met Office, this summer is on course to be the hottest since records began. You may feel like you're having to adjust your lifestyle to fit the heat this year... So do you think you're getting enough information about climate change? Households living near pylons will get £250 a year off their energy bills, according to new UK government plans. This would include people living along the Pentir to Trawsfynydd line in north-west Wales. However, critics say this is minimal compensation for the impact on neighbourhoods and the environment. So would you be happy to have pylons near you -- if it meant cheaper energy bills? And finally, people across Wales are gearing up for a once-in-a-generation solar eclipse. This will be the most significant eclipse since 1999, with more than 90% of the sun set to be covered by the moon. In Pembrokeshire, viewers can expect as much as between 94 and 96% of the sun to be covered. It will be the largest solar eclipse visible until September 2090. So are you excited for the solar eclipse? And do you remember the last one? Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110 or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nations' conversation
