Ahead of this year's Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Proms, Sakari Oramo, chief conductor of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Symphony Orchestra, opens a window into the art - and the joy - of attentive listening. Today, Sakari explores how listening over time can influence our relationship with the music that we hear. He'll explain how he deals with the vast amount of music he works with, how nostalgia can affect how we experience music, and muses on whether we should try to train ourselves to listen better. Also, Sakari explains the importance of occasionally listening to music we don't at first like and the joy of listening with an open mind.
