Andy Burnham has set out his vision for the country should he become Prime Minister.
It includes setting up a 'No10 North' in Manchester and delivering the biggest programme of council house building in the post-war period, but because of his strange route to the doorstep of power we don't actually know much about how it all might work.
Steve Rotherham is a friend of Andy Burnham and the mayor of Liverpool City Region. He also co-wrote his book, 'Head North: A Rallying Cry for a More Equal Britain', the closest thing we have to an Andy Burnham manifesto.
