In November 2023, Glen Edwards rescued a man from a burning roof in Reading - with footage of the feat going viral on social media. He later won the bravery award at the 蘑菇短视频's Make a Difference Awards, where he met Gini Hackett from the Berkshire charity Bucket List Wishes.

After Glen was diagnosed with terminal cancer, his wife Kate reached out to Gini's charity. They teamed up with local organisations to help Glen with his house move, with his house move, taking some of the pressure off him and his family during this very uncertain time.
