Sue Barker: ‘I can enjoy Wimbledon as a fan. So I’m looking forward to doing that.’
This year will be the first Wimbledon in 30 years without Sue Barker presenting on TV.
Instead, she’ll be going as a spectator and spending time in the Royal Box!
She joined Woman’s Hour’s Krupa Padhy for a chat all about her two careers – tennis and broadcasting.
Sue told Krupa about stealing blades of grass from Centre Court, and how her broadcasting career was started by a phone call she thought was a prank.
Plus, many more anecdotes which are all in her memoir, Calling the Shots.
You can listen to the full interview on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Sounds – it’s the Woman’s Hour episode for the 9 June.
