Now let's meet Nigerian-born artist Tommy Kuti who is a well-known rapper in Italy. In 2017, he was signed up by US record label, Universal and then pursued his own music career as an independent artist. He recently released a new song called Mofejaye, a mix between Afrobeat and Amapiano, which aims to uplift and empower others. He dropped by the 蘑菇短视频 office and spoke with our reporter, Stefania Okereke on what it is like to grow up in Italy as a black Italian artist.
