Is the financial cost of being single too high?
According to new research by the brokers Hargreaves Lansdown, single people pay, on average, 拢860 a month more than people living in couples. That includes expenses like rent, energy bills, groceries, Wi-Fi and TV subscriptions.
Nicola Slawson is a journalist and founder of The Single Supplement 鈥� a weekly newsletter exploring the highs and lows of being single. She spoke to Nuala McGovern on Woman鈥檚 Hour about being single in a society that seems tailored for couples.
