Africa leads the world in terms of the number of women business owners. According to a World Bank report, women make up 58聽% of the continent鈥檚 self-employed population. And yet Women鈥檚 businesses are among the leading ventures that lack financial support. It is also common for women to be denied loans because of gender and cultural biases. Financial expert Christine Gathiuni explains why women still face challenges accessing finances to start or grow their businesses.
