Scrapping of Greyfriars scheme 'an opportunity'
Land at Northampton's Greyfriars site has stood empty for more then two years since the old bus station was demolished - and last night councillors confirmed it was back to the drawing board for the development.
Plans for restaurants, a hotel, a coach station and either a cinema or trampoline centre at the site have been scrapped.
It comes after developer Carter Enduarnce told the council it couldn't deliver on the promised housing element of the scheme.
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio Northampton's political reporter Craig Lewis spoke to council leader Jonathan Nunn and asked him why he was feeling positive about what amounts to another delay.
