How to tell what people are really thinking from their faces
Being able to read people's minds and emotions could save us all a lot of time - and occasionally trouble - but what's the secret?
"It's all in the face," according to neuroscientist Sophie Scott, who studies voices, speech and laughter at University College London and recently appeared on our Late Night Woman's Hour programme all about instinct and intuition.
She explains the concept of microexpressions, aka the emotions people literally "leak out of their faces", in this handy guide.
