Pensioner left 'vulnerable' over scam
An Essex pensioner says she has never felt so vulnerable after almost falling victim to a phone scam.
Hazel Harwood was told by a fake phone line provider she had accidentally been refunded £10,000 and was asked to transfer the money back.
When the 71-year-old from Laindon tried to pass over the cash to the fraudsters, her bank stepped in after an irregularity with the transaction was flagged up.
In an emotional interview with Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Essex Ms Harwood said she was angry at herself for letting it happen.
