Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique
Virtually everything that Hector Berlioz composed was inspired by a literary or theatrical idea. Even when he came to write his first symphony, he wrote it with a sub-text - "An Episode in the Life of an Artist". Stephen Johnson considers the different components that make up the Symphonie Fantastique (Op. 14) assisted by the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Philharmonic and conducted by Yan Pascal Tortelier.
