Featuring the very best in brass as performed by the world famous Black Dyke Band conducted by Nicholas Childs in a programme of classics, film soundtracks and original works. Formed in 1855 in the village of Queensbury near Bradford, the name Black Dyke has long been synonymous with musical excellence. Their programme includes Gustav Holt's A Moorside Suite, Hector Berlioz's Roman Carnival Overture, Philip Wilby's Paganini Variations and Peter Graham's concerto for euphonium entitled Force of Nature, inspired by Ernest Hemingway with featured soloist, David Childs. Presented by Mark Radcliffe.
