Mark and Rachel immerse themselves in Iron Age Scotland with a special live broadcast from the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay.

Mark visits the brand new Crannog, a magnificent stilted round house standing out in the loch. It has recently been built based on archaeological evidence unearthed from the loch, where the remains of 18 such dwellings have been discovered.

He also gets a view of the Crannog from the water when he joins the Loch Tay Skiff Club for a row.

As far as possible, local materials have been used to build the crannog, some of which have been sourced from D霉n Coillich Community Land near Schiehallion. Rachel visits the Highland Perthshire Communities Land Trust to find out more.

We learn about the wild food our Iron Age forbears would have been reliant upon, from forager Charlotte Flower. Charlotte is about to undertake the Wild Biome Diet, where she eats only foraged food for a month.

And Mark and Rachel are joined by the Britannia XIV Re-enactment club, who are making camp at the Crannog Centre for the weekend.
