Hailing from Chicago, Kahil El鈥橺abar is a legendary percussionist, bandleader, composer, conductor, educator and maestro of ritual sound. He reflects on his long relationship with music and spiritual sounds, from his early childhood influences to his work with his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, which he founded in 1973 and still performs with today.
