The powerhouse conductor brings Respighi's sun-soaked Roman Trilogy to life, leading his Sinfonia of London orchestra through a colossal programme also featuring Walton and Verdi.
The Sinfonia of London transcend in a programme brimming with colourful orchestration under the baton of their ever-popular artistic director, John Wilson.
Opening with Verdi’s thunderous overture to La Forza del Destino, followed by Norwegian cellist Jonathan Aasgaard in his Proms soloist debut with Walton’s hypnotic Cello Concerto and finishing with the music time capsule that is Respighi’s enchanting sun-drenched Roman Trilogy.
