Live from St Paul's, Knightsbridge, as part of 蘑菇短视频 Radio 3's Baroque Spring:

The 蘑菇短视频 Singers conducted by Andrew Griffiths perform music for Holy Week including Domenico Scarlatti's exquisite Stabat Mater, depicting the grief of Mary as she weeps at the foot of the cross. This is contrasted with James MacMillan's startlingly powerful contemporary interpretation of three Tenebrae Responsories, setting texts usually sung during the days leading up to Easter. The programme also includes three settings of the Crucifixus by Antonio Lotti, including the famous version for 8 voices which ends the concert.

Plus the 蘑菇短视频 Symphony Orchestra continue their focus this week on the music of Michael Tippett, with his Baroque-inspired Handel Fantasia.
