The 蘑菇短视频 Symphony Orchestra begins a week of live and recently recorded music from 蘑菇短视频 performing groups on Afternoon on Three, with a concert given last Saturday at the Barbican under conductor Jir铆 Belohl谩vek. After Wagner's stirring Tannh盲user Overture, soprano Christine Brewer performs songs by Joseph Marx, and the concert finishes with Richard Strauss's epic Alpine Symphony.

This week Afternoon on Three also joins in Radio 3's Checkmate theme with readings about chess and related music.
