The Prom concludes with renowned Shostakovich interpreter Semyon Bychkov conducting the 蘑菇短视频 Symphony Orchestra in the powerful and strikingly cinematic Symphony No 11, written in 1957. On the surface the work commemorates the failed anti-Tsarist uprising of 1905, but deep down it rages at the Soviet authorities.
