How do I install and uninstall the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app on my mobile or tablet?

How do I install the app?

You'll need to be connected to the internet, either via WiFi or a mobile network connection, and make sure your device is supported for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer. You also need to be in the UK to install the app.

Amazon Fire

Your device will need to be running Fire OS 6 or above.

  1. Go to the 
  2. Search for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer
  3. Select the Install button on the screen and the app should begin to download straight away
  4. Once downloaded you'll be given the option to Open: tap this to bring you straight to the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app

Android

Your device will need to be running Android 7.0 or above.

  1. Open the Play Store app
  2. Search for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer
  3. Select the Install button on the screen and the app should begin to download straight away
  4. Once downloaded you'll be given the option to Open: tap this to bring you straight to the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app

iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

Your device will need to be running iOS 15.5 or above.

  1. From the home screen, tap App Store
  2. Tap Search at the bottom then search for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer
  3. Tap the app, then tap Get. (The App Store may ask you to confirm your Apple ID at this point.)
  4. Once downloaded you'll be given the option to Open: tap this to bring you straight to the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app

How do I uninstall the app?

Amazon Fire

  1. Gently hold down on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app icon on your screen
  2. Select Remove From Device
  3. Tap OK to uninstall the app, if prompted, and select OK on the completion screen

Android

  1. Gently hold down on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app icon on your screen
  2. You'll see the options to 'Remove' or 'Uninstall' the app. Drag the app to 'Uninstall' and release/let go
  3. You'll then get an on-screen notification asking if you're sure you want to "Uninstall Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer?"
  4. Select Uninstall and the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app will no longer be on your device

iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

  1. Gently hold down on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ iPlayer app icon on your screen
  2. The icons will start to wiggle. You'll either see an X in the corner of the app or a list of options with Delete app at the bottom.
  3. Tap the X or Delete app to uninstall.
