Concert Information

G贸recki鈥檚 discovery of his native church and folk music left an indelible mark on his work, clearly audible in the early Four Preludes for solo piano. Here, the 蘑菇短视频 Singers combine the penetrating homophony of the Five Marian Songs with one of G贸recki鈥檚 best-loved works, Totus tuus, given an emotional premiere in 1987 during Pope Jean Paul II鈥檚 third pilgrimage to Poland, as the country prepared for revolution.
