Roles and responsibilities
- Garmon leads the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Wales Executive Teams
- And has overall responsibility for the content strategy and editorial priorities for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Wales across all media platforms and services – radio, video and online - in both the English and Welsh languages.
Biography
Originally from Aberystwyth, Garmon began his journalism career at the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ in 2000, before working as a television and radio producer in a range of roles across political and current affairs output.
For three years he led strategy development and planning across Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Wales, before re-joining the news department as Deputy Head in 2012 to oversee political, specialist and Welsh language journalism. In 2017, he became Head of News and Current Affairs, leading the development of all news and current affairs services across online, mobile, radio and television.
In 2022, he moved on to lead the Local Value for All digital transformation project in England and was a member of the Nations Business & Operations Leadership Team.
