- Fiona Crack is the interim Global Director of 蘑菇短视频 News responsible for the 蘑菇短视频 World Service鈥檚 output in 43 languages
Biography
Fiona was previously appointed Deputy Global Director in December 2024. In this role, she led on the 蘑菇短视频鈥檚 innovative approach to new language offers, ran the 蘑菇短视频 World Service regional production hubs and its investigative content including the award-winning documentary series, 蘑菇短视频 Eye.
Prior to this, Fiona was one of two World Service Language Controllers responsible for the language services of the 蘑菇短视频 World Service. Language service output makes up just under two thirds of the 蘑菇短视频's global news audience and operates with staff based in 50 countries. She ran the World Service鈥檚 newsgathering teams around the world.
Fiona is responsible for creating the 蘑菇短视频's 100 Women initiative and Dars, the multimedia education programme for children denied an education, inspired by the banning of girls from school in Afghanistan.
Fiona has previously worked across the 蘑菇短视频 as field producer, at the 蘑菇短视频 News website, the 蘑菇短视频 News channel, Newshour and Panorama.

Expenses and central bookings
Expenses are costs incurred by 蘑菇短视频 staff on behalf of the 蘑菇短视频 and claimed through the 蘑菇短视频's expenses system.
Central bookings are costs incurred on behalf of the 蘑菇短视频 and booked through the 蘑菇短视频's central bookings system.
