Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ plans rallies for Alan Johnston

The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ is planning a series of rallies across the country to highlight the plight of Alan Johnston, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Gaza Correspondent.

Ìý

Alan was abducted in Gaza on 12 March. There has been an unsubstantiated claim that he has been killed and his family and colleagues are highly concerned for his safety.

Ìý

Since Alan's disappearance, gatherings have taken place every Monday afternoon at the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Television Centre and Bush House in London. These, together with events at other Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ locations, will take place again today at 2.15pm.

Ìý

At Television Centre, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Director-General Mark Thompson will address staff and Richard Sambrook, Director, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Global News, will do the same outside Bush House.

Ìý

Please note there will be no admission to photographers. Pictures will be available via .

Ìý

Pooled footage will also be available via the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ.
