"We have taken note of the statement in the House of Commons today that the debate on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Charter & Agreement will be held on Monday 10 July and the comments made from both sides of the House about the timetable for publication of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Annual Report & Accounts.

Ìý

"Publication has long been confirmed with the Culture Media and Sports Select Committee for Tuesday 11 July with their annual hearing with the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ that morning.

Ìý

"However, in the light of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Commons debate now scheduled for Monday July 10, the Governors are persuaded of the importance of the House having receipt of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Annual Report & Accounts for 2005/2006 in good time for their debate.

Ìý

"The only practical date for advancing publication is Friday 7 July and the Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport has agreed to lay the document in Parliament on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's behalf on the same date.

Ìý

"We are mindful of the remembrance events scheduled for the morning of Friday 7 July in memory of those killed a year before and will delay publication until later in the day."
