New Independent Commissioning Executive and Head of Scheduling, CÄ¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ and CBeebies announced

Richard Deverell, Controller, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Children's, today announced the appointment of Damian Kavanagh, Head of Planning and Scheduling for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ THREE, as Independent Commissioning Executive and Head of Scheduling, CÄ¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ and CBeebies.

In this joint role, he will work closely with Anne Gilchrist, Creative Director, CÄ¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ, in developing and overseeing content from the independent sector.

Ìý

Damian will also be responsible for scheduling two digital channels, CÄ¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ and CBeebies, as well as for children's output on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ ONE and Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ TWO. He will take an active role in developing formulating the content and brand strategy for CÄ¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ.

Damian joined Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Channel Management in 1997 where he has held various roles including Scheduler for the former Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ CHOICE and Schedule Manager, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ ONE. He has been Head of Planning and Scheduling for Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ THREE since 2004.
