The
Government has made significant changes to the regulation of the
broadcasting industry with the introduction of the super-regulator,
Ofcom.
It's
been a busy first few weeks for the new regulator, which is in the
middle of its first review of UK public service broadcasting.
Watching
the watchdog is Jocelyn Hay, chair of the high profile consumer
group Voice of the Listener and Viewer.
She
warns that British values on television will be eroded with the
relaxation of laws governing foreign ownership.
Tim
Sebastian asks her what action she wants taken to stop the dumbing
down of Britain's most influential cultural asset.
