HARDtalk with Martin Lee, founder of the Hong Kong Democratic Party

On Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Monday 29 September) Tim Sebastian talks to Martin Lee, founder of the Hong Kong Democratic Party.

The postponement of the anti-subversion bill in Hong Kong is being hailed a victory by pro-democracy campaigners.

Martin Lee argued the anti-subversion bill would have rolled back some basic freedoms, including the freedom of the press, of association and of religion.

He says the protests against the bill prove the pro-democracy movement is still alive and well in Hong Kong.

But how much influence does it really have? The bill has been postponed, but how long before it re-emerges? And does he think the pro-democracy movement can really influence Beijing?

HARDtalk is on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ News 24 at 11.30pm.
