Worldwide signs groundbreaking deals with Spanish broadcasters
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ
Worldwide has increased its presence in Spain by agreeing three
major deals with television broadcasters in the region.
A landmark
agreement has been secured with TVE in Spain to form a major strategic
partnership. The five-year output and pre-sales agreement includes
the broadcasting of Fimbles, a further 120 episodes of Tweenies,
Planet Earth and about 50 hours of blue-chip titles.

Roncal, Director of Acquisitions, TVE says, " We are delighted
to be doing business with Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Worldwide once again. We have had
great success with Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ natural history programming in the past and
we are looking forward to seeing the new-pre sales package in our
primetime slots."
In
another exclusive deal, Localia - Spain's local television network,
made up of 70 TV stations - has secured a branded slot. The one-hour
scheduled slot will consist of science and biography documentaries
on Saturday night primetime. The Localia channels will be the only
free-to-air channels to broadcast a Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Exclusive slot.
FORTA,
the Spanish regional channels network, has agreed a deal with Spanish
film distributor Wanda Films together with Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Worldwide, for the
broadcast and distribution rights of Deep Blue, the theatrical version
of The Blue Planet, which was launched at the San Sebastian film
Festival this September.
