Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME in Czech Republic with local subtitles

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME has successfully launched in the Czech Republic with localised subtitles. The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's international entertainment channel is now available to over 170,000 subscribers via leading Czech cable operators Intercable CZ and TES Media.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME is providing viewers with selected prime-time programming subtitled in Czech. The Czech subtitles on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME are provided by Broadcast Text, based in London, working alongside translation companies Brno English Centre and Studio Klondike in the Czech Republic. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME is also a member of the CACC, the Czech Association for Competitive Communications.

Wayne Dunsford, Director of Channels, EMEIA, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Worldwide, says: " We are delighted to be celebrating the launch of the channel with localised subtitles in the Czech Republic, through leading cable operators Intercable CZ and TES Media. We are also looking forward to making the channel available to other distributors in the market. We remain firmly committed to delivering the localised channel to key markets, and hope to launch the channel in Poland with subtitles in the near future."

Michal Martinovsky, Marketing & Sales Manager, Intercable CZ says: "Intercable CZ was the first cable operator to launch Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME in May 2002 in the Czech Republic. As Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME is already a big success we are delighted to open up this channel to even more subscribers with the launch of the localised subtitles. Now the channel is not just great entertainment but also an easy tool to learn English."

Dusan Jelinek, Commercial Director, TES Media, says: "Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME is another valuable channel in our programming package. I believe that Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME, with its strong programming, will be soon among the most popular cable channels in the Czech Republic. It was our initial request to provide viewers with Czech subtitles and we are pleased that Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME has accomplished it."

Zdenek Vanicek, President of the Czech Association of Competitive Communications, underlined the fact that the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ has always been the hallmark of the highest standard and value in the TV industry. "It is why," says the CACC President, "I welcome Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ PRIME in the Czech cable networks and am confident that the channel will soon become a permanent course of the daily menu for most of CATV subscribers in this country."
