Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ English Regions are responsible for all non-networked television, text and radio output in England as well as the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's local websites covering the English Regions.
The best known output is the daily regional news programmes such as Look North and Points West, and Local Radio stations like Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio Newcastle and Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio Solent.
The English Regions also produce regional aspects of the , and Inside Out on Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ1, as well as the regional pages on Ceefax and digital text.
44 Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Local websites cover the whole of England, providing a range of information and entertainment features about local issues.
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ News Interactive has teamed up with Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ English Regions to maintain teams of journalists in each of the English regional centres, providing the news content for both the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Local websites and the site.
71% of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ’s domestic output hours are produced by the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ English Regions, for about 7% of the licence fee.
There are twelve regions, each of which has a regional head, who report to David Holdsworth, Controller English Regions, based in Birmingham.
