Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing supports unsigned and under the rader musicians all year round with a website packed with advice and slots up for grabs at major UK festivals. If you're making music, uploading your tunes via the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing website will ensure they reach the ears of Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ radio presenters and producers across the UK.
Maida Vale sessions - meet the artists
As part of Electric Proms this year, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing is giving four brand new artists the chance to record a session at the world famous Maida Vale studios. Recording at Maida Vale is a prestigious, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any band, with top quality equipment and experienced Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ engineers on hand to help make the sound in their heads a reality.
The four acts chosen have been put forward by their local Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing radio show and are championed by Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music and Radio 2 respectively. Over the course of the Electric Proms week, we'll bring you videos of each band in session, as well as behind the scenes footage of the recording process at Maida Vale.
Kid Adrift - supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio 1's Fearne Cotton
Supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Scotland's Vic Galloway, Glaswegian Kid Adrift plays a blend of dubstep, post-rock and pop which he writes, produces and records himself. Having been offered gigs at Glastonbury and Reading, the Kid is rehearsing with a full band and intends to hit the road for his first live shows to co-incide with his debut EP LED Illusions in October 2009.

Daley - supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ 1Xtra's Mistajam
Mancunian Daley was offered a recording session at Maida Vale after uploading a single track, Rainy Day, via the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing website. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Manchester and Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ 1Xtra immediately picked up on the track, with its neo-soul, jazz and funk sound.

Lost Knives - supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ 6 Music's Steve Lamacq
George, Joe, Steven, Will hail from Manchester and are collectively known as Lost Knives. They formed in February 2009 and played their first gig a month later. They write bold, brash and exciting pop music to soundtrack the apocalypse and have been supported since early on by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Introducing in Manchester.

Lettie - supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Radio 2's Dermot O'Leary
A former Medieval History student, multi-instrumentalist and artist Lettie draws on everything from postcards to obituaries. Her music combines vintage analog electronica and alternative-acoustic folk. On record, she uses modular synthesizers but to play live she performs on Casio and an electric guitar with an echo pedal to create loops. Lettie has been supported by Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Suffolk.
