Donaghadee Lighthouse, County Down
Donaghadee Lighthouse in County Down was established in 1836. The tower is built of cut limestone, and in its early days was unpainted. Today the tower, including the lantern and dome, is painted white allowing the tower to take on the colour of the superb local sunsets.
